After the slow-burning beauty of 'Eternity' earlier this month, experimental composer Tony Njoku announces his new album with its poignant title track 'ALL OUR KNIVES ARE ALWAYS SHARP'. Featuring thoughtful lyricism from the prolific and revered Coby Sey, the striking piece is arguably Njoku's most accomplished work to date. Seamlessly blending his love of orchestral and synthetic instrumentation, alongside left-field production and plenty of vocal effects, the near 5-minute offering is unashamed in its desire to explore time and space. Accompanied by another affecting sepia-toned video starring the incredible Folu Odimayo, 'ALL OUR KNIVES ARE ALWAYS SHARP' feels like an arrival for Tony Njoku and a full, unflinching, view of his bold artist vision.
